We start the route in the beautiful village of Ferreira, one of the best preserved of the municipality, where we can admire the popular architecture of the area while walking along its narrow paths in the shade of centuries-old vines.

The route starts in the square of Sta. Eulalia de Oscos descending to the lower part of the village and continuing along a beautiful path surrounded by native forest that leads us to Ferreirela de Baxo, a place where it is worth stopping and visiting the Museo Casa Natal del Marqués de Sargadelos.
The route begins in the recreational area of Pumares; we cross the road and head parallel to the river to Pumares, a village of old ferreira activity, where we can still see the remains of an old mallet. From here, along a marked path, and leaving the river Agüeira to our left, we continue a slight ascent into a legendary forest characterized by riparian species (alders, ashes, willows, and hazelnut trees) and by oaks and chestnut trees that with their whimsical shapes are true monuments.
The Viduedo farm is a certified organic livestock farm located in the village of As Poceiras, where the animals are raised in direct contact with the environment, feeding all year round on natural pastures, which is a guarantee of health and quality.
The Mazonovo Mallet is located about 3 km from Santa Eulalia. It is a 17th century mallet active in the 21st century. This set is restored and rehabilitated in its integrity for the understanding of the iron industry. The building of the mallet stands out for being in a state in which it has not suffered great modifications with the passage of time. Here you can forge your own nail and take it as a souvenir.
The house where Antonio Raimundo Ibáñez, Marquis of Sargadelos (1749-1809) was born is now an exhibition space dedicated to the life and work of this industrial and enlightened merchant, who in the late 18th century built in Sargadelos (Cervo, Lugo) one of the first cast-iron foundry and earthenware factories in Spain.
Traditionally, in Santa Eulalia de Oscos, knives have been made for more than a century. Nowadays Jorge (knifemaker) and Keiko (metal craftswoman) maintain this tradition developing this ancient craft to which they add part of the Japanese ancestral wisdom.
