Casa das Pitas is the most recent renovation of Casas Rurales TAReira but it will not be the last.
Years ago we set out to restore the group of houses that make up the complex, ignoring what a financier would advise since the return on investment would probably take many years longer than a specialist would advise.
Anyway, the benefit we are looking for is sentimental, so the return is recovered the same day the works are finished and enjoyed for the rest of our lives. That is nothing…
All the houses that make up the complex have been named after the last inhabitants: Alfonso, Carmina, Alejandro and in this case it could not be less so what, for many years, more than 100, has been the henhouse of Casa de Hipólita and, later, of Casa de Herminia has been transformed into Casa das Pitas.
Restored by Pili, the same decorator who has designed the rest and who will design the remaining ones, amateur but efficient and in this case cheap, she once again makes use of good taste and practicality.
The hens would never have imagined it, no matter how many eggs they put in. Today we have even left some chicken wire in case one day we decide to make them the inhabitants again, although for the time being we have decided to go for some other kind of eggs and feathers.
