Casa Gonzaiz” is a farmhouse dating from the early nineteenth century, where there was also a workshop of craftsmen “galocheiros” for the manufacture of wooden “madreñas”. It is located in a village, settled on a Celtic castro, in the Suarón Valley, under the northern slope of the Sierra de la Bobia, and open to the sea on the Eo estuary. In the heart of the Biosphere Reserve Río Eo, Oscos and Terras de Burón, it offers the visitor an incomparable natural place to rest and disconnect from the world.
The house is located in an extensive estate of the same property for recreation and leisure, with access for vehicles and ease for the enjoyment of children.
It has been restored respecting the original physiognomy, and typical of the area, predominantly stone and hardwood, but with all the comforts for rest and relaxation. Adapted for handicapped people.
It currently consists of three double bedrooms, one of them adapted for wheelchairs, with two bathrooms, -also one is adapted-, fully equipped kitchen, tv, microwave, ceramic hob, dishwasher, etc …, living area with fireplace and tv, and of course heating throughout the house.
The decoration is typical of the area, with a predominance of stone and hardwood. The house has its own parking, terrace and recreation areas for children.
In 1963 Mr. José Martínez Díaz, of unforgettable memory, laid the foundations of the company “Restaurante Peña Mar”.
An ideal place to rest, very well communicated with the main important towns in the area.
La Trapela I, II and III, after 4 centuries of history as part of a livestock complex at the entrance of San Martín de Oscos.
This is the original house, with more charm and more history, 100 years the family has worked in this forge, I am not sure that this type of “factories” have eliminated the hunger of the municipality in the years 40 to 60 of the last century but at least they have attenuated it.
